Possibly worth a mention, but I would stick to contemporary works of art (or even later -- there are a lot of 19th-cent. representations of Miranda -- but still art... I don't know about yours, but some teachers might be put off if you start mentioning films etc). Theatre productions are of course different.

Play not book please  : Chessygrin :

Il mio solo amore, nato dal mio solo odio..
Ok ok it’s enough.....

Erm, no, I opened this topic because Giuly wanted to open it but never did : Chessygrin :

No orgasms with Shakespeare, thanks. He didn't really exist, the author of the plays that we think are Shakespeare's is actually Christopher Marlowe.

:hahaha: :hahaha:

Because, however much I love Marlowe, it is a slightly far-fetched theory

Ognuno ha le sue fissazioni Danielix, chi ha quelle del rinascimento e di Shakespeare e chi quelle del Friuli e del gozzovigliare

I just saw this topic!!! It's really useful to practice english....I need to focus a lot on the written part: sometimes I just forget parts of the words  !! The funniest thing is that my grammar was better when I was in second grade  and used to live in NY!! Well I'll just have to wait to go to Hamburg for Christmas to visit the german side, with whom, unfortunately, I only speak in english!!

Today I've realized that I cannot understand the British accent at all. It sounds so strange, but I can perfectly understand an American man talking like he was chewing anything.

It's the same for me!! Well the first english words I learned and heard were in American english so I got used to the American accent and picked it up, but at school they only teach British english, so my classmates don't understand me at all and always ask me to repeat!! Well I must say it's the same thing for me with British english :-D ....

Pleaseeeeee! I can't stand American accents, spelling, strange terminological choices (my Canadian friend always says things like barn instead of yard and I take the mickey out of her!)

Proper English is British English! : CoolGun : : CoolGun :

Silvi@, the Irish accent is soooooo lovely! Try to copy it!

Arya, are you sure that British person wasn't from Hull?? :acrepapelle: :acrepapelle:
